We are looking for a Embedded Firmware Engineer -- Rhode Island
Candidates should posses the following minimum knowledge and skills:
Estimated Term: 4 months
Looking for Senior Embedded engineer with Linux and AMD Processor experience.
The consultant will be assisting a core development team in targeting the Linux Operating System for the client's next generation POS terminal (Point of Sale Lottery Terminal). This development project is under a very aggressive schedule and requires a highly skilled individual. The consultant will also assist in the device driver development and integration for the video graphics sub-system on the POS terminal.

Requirements

Skill Requirements:
High level of Expertise in the targeting of a 2.6 Linux Kernel to an AMD/ATI chip set combination.
Linux 2.6 kernel on an AMD processor, 'C' programming language, Java programming language, video drivers, embedded targeting.
Of the 2 skill sets, C is the more prevalent but having a good understanding of Java Virtual Machines would also be helpful.
Embedded Linux OS experience
Expertise in the AMD Chipset technologies and targeting the Linux OS to AMD Processors.
Experience with Open Source Development tools such as GNU Compilers and CVS.
Graphics Device Driver Development
